Deferments

Need to take a break from school, but don’t want to reapply to BYU-Idaho? Learn about different deferment options!

What is a Deferment?

If you need to take a temporary break from BYU-Idaho, you can sign up for a deferment. This allows you to pause your studies without needing to reapply to BYU-Idaho to keep your admission status. Reasons to request a deferment include a mission, medical issue(s), spouse’s internship, or other personal needs.

Missionary Deferments
