Financial Aid FAQs

Why am I not getting the full amount of my Pell Grant?

Only classes that apply to your major are eligible for federal aid. Check the Program Applicability Tool to see each class’s eligibility. Academic Advising can help you understand what is and is not applicable for your major. You should check with them first.

In very rare cases, your lifetime amount of the Pell Grant may be used up. Visit Is there a lifetime amount of Pell Grant I can receive? for more information.

For more information on your Pell Grant, contact the Financial Aid Office by calling (208) 496-1411, emailing financialaid@byui.edu, or visiting them in person in Kimball 196.
