1-Year Academic Scholarships are available to current BYU-Idaho students who have not already received a 4-Year Academic Scholarship. Current BYU-Idaho students are those with at least 12 credit hours, and less than 140 credits after Winter semester and have not earned a bachelor's degree.

BYU-Idaho scholarships are awarded by credit groups, not by individual credits. Each credit group has a fixed dollar amount. If you take more credits within a group, tuition increases, but the scholarship amount stays the same.

Scholarship renewal eligibility is reviewed once a year, after Winter semester grades are posted. Students who qualify are automatically awarded scholarships for the upcoming Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters.

Maintaining Your Scholarship

Maintain your GPA. Scholarships are awarded annually, based on grades being checked after the Winter semester. Make sure your grades are recorded correctly. -
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester. Scholarship award amounts are prorated based on the total credits a student is enrolled in.

If you attend all three semesters, you will receive an award each semester.

If you change your credit load before FADD, your award will change too.
