Why is my scholarship not covering all of my tuition?
How Your BYU-Idaho Scholarship Works
BYU-Idaho Scholarships are awarded by credit groups, not by individual credits. Each group has a set dollar amount, even if you take more credits within that group.
Taking 12+ credits?
Scholarship covers all tuition
Taking 9, 10, or 11 credits?
Scholarship covers 9 credits (you pay for any extra)
Taking 6, 7, or 8 credits?
Scholarship covers 6 credits (you pay for any extra)
Example:
If you take 10 credits, you pay for 1 credit out of pocket If you take 8 credits, you pay for 2 credits out of pocket
To avoid extra tuition charges, take exactly 6, 9, or 12 credits. To find out the dollar amount you qualify for, please see the Award Level Credit Requirements.
