Financial Aid FAQs

What is BYU-Idaho’s FAFSA® Priority Deadline?

The FAFSA® priority deadline is BYU Idaho’s deadline that helps ensure your aid is processed on time and that you are considered first for limited funds, such as certain state and university grants. You can find specific dates by visiting the Dates and Deadlines page and scrolling to “FAFSA® Priority.”

By submitting your FAFSA® and all required documents by the semester priority deadline, you give the university enough time to process your aid so it is ready at the start of the semester. If you meet the priority deadline and there are delays in federal financial aid disbursement, BYU Idaho will waive any late fees for student charges your financial aid would have covered.

Didn’t meet the deadline? See the question in this section Can I still fill out the FAFSA® if I missed the priority deadline? for more information.
