Financial Aid FAQs

Will I still receive financial aid if I need to take a semester off?

Financial Aid is based on enrollment each semester. If you do not attend, you will not be eligible for federal aid or scholarships for that semester.

Loan payments start after a six-month grace period. If you leave school for any reason and you do not enroll again before that grace period is exhausted, your loan servicer will expect repayment to begin. You should get a Repayment Schedule during your grace period. If you don't contact your loan servicer.
