Does SAP Apply If I’m Not Receiving Financial Aid Right Now?
Yes. SAP is evaluated for all students, regardless of whether you are currently receiving federal financial aid.
Your SAP status affects future federal aid eligibility and current eligibility for VA education benefits, and may also affect eligibility for certain scholarships, including the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship and Idaho Launch.
What Are the SAP Requirements for Financial Aid?
To remain eligible for federal financial aid, students must meet all three SAP requirements:
- Completion Rate (Pace): Complete at least 67% of cumulative attempted credits
- Grade Point Average (GPA): Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Maximum Time Frame (MTF): Complete your degree within 150% of the required credits for your program
Important: All SAP requirements are calculated using Program Applicable (PA) credits only, as determined by your declared degree program. Your academic transcript may include non-PA credits that do not count toward SAP.
