Financial Aid FAQs

How many credits do I need to get financial aid?

It depends on the type of aid you are trying to receive and your eligibility for that aid.

Pell Grants can often be received for even one Program Applicable credit. This chart shows the amount of Pell Grant you can receive for each credit you take.

Student Loans require you to enroll in at least 6 Program Applicable credits.

BYU-Idaho Scholarships require you to enroll in at least 6 credits, and are not required to be Program Applicable.
