I Received a “W” Grade Due to Extenuating Circumstances — How Do I Avoid Losing My Aid?

A W (Withdraw) counts as attempted but not earned and may lower your completion rate. If you are below the required 67% at the end of the semester, your aid will be suspended.

If a withdrawal due to serious, unexpected circumstances results in SAP Suspension, you may be able to submit a SAP appeal or regain eligibility once SAP standards are met.

See What Is a SAP Appeal for more information.
