Financial Aid FAQs

Is Resolution to my Circumstances Required for a SAP Appeal to Be Approved?

Yes.
If it is not clear that your circumstances are resolved or are being effectively managed, your appeal will be denied.

Because appeals are limited, it may be necessary to:

  • Reduce your course load
  • Take time away from enrollment to manage health or personal issues
  • Create and follow a plan to manage ongoing medical or mental health conditions

If your provider indicates you are not yet ready to meet probation or academic plan requirements, it may be better to wait to submit an appeal until your issues are managed and you are ready to be successful.

You may still attend school without federal financial aid and submit an appeal in a future semester.
