Financial Aid FAQs

Why do I have a financial aid return on my student account?

If you drop classes before FADD, you are no longer eligible for aid received for those credits. The aid is returned to the government and a charge is placed on your student account to cover those returned funds. Enrolling in Program Applicable courses can bring aid back, but it will depend on timing (before FADD) and semester deadlines.

Contact the Financial Aid Office before dropping classes or for more information on aid returns by calling 208-496-1411 or emailing financialaid@byui.edu.
