Does financial aid cover all my classes?
It depends on the type of aid you have:
- Federal aid, including Federal Loans and Pell Grants, will only cover Program Applicable credits. Check the Program Applicability Tool to see if your classes qualify for aid.
- VA Benefits, State of Idaho scholarships, and some private scholarships also require Program Applicable classes.
- BYU-Idaho Scholarships can cover classes even if they are not program-applicable. See “Why is my scholarship not covering all of my tuition” for more info on why your BYU-Idaho scholarship may not cover all of your tuition.
- Idaho Launch Scholarships will only cover 80% of your tuition
- Idaho Opportunity Scholarships can provide up to $3500 a year or $1750 for two semesters, so it may not cover all of your tuition
Use the Program Applicability Tool to see which of your classes qualify for federal aid.
To find out the amount you qualify for, please see the Award Level Credit Requirements.
