Financial Aid FAQs

I applied for FAFSA®, but I only see loans—did I get any grants?

The FAFSA® is an application for both Pell Grants and Federal Loans. The offers you receive are based on the answers you provided on your FAFSA®.

If your Financial Aid Portal is only showing loans, it means you were not eligible for a Pell Grant. You can check your studentaid.gov account for more detailed information about your federal aid eligibility.

If you still have questions, contact the Financial Aid Office by calling (208) 496-1411, emailing financialaid@byui.edu, or visiting them in person in Kimball 196.
