Full-Time Employees Benefits

An overview of employee benefits for full-time BYU-Idaho employees includes personal and professional development, wellness programs, annual base pay increases, exemplary work environment, and much more.

Employee Benefits

The Benefits package at BYU-Idaho is designed to bless the lives of all employees and their families. The majority of the premiums for health coverage are paid for by BYU-Idaho. This results in lower monthly premiums for the employee. Insurance and retirement benefits are administered through DMBA. Additional benefits are administered through BYU-Idaho, including education assistance, cell phone plans, campus benefits and paid leave.
DMBA offers four medical plans to BYU-Idaho employees: Deseret Premier, Deseret Value, Deseret Select, and Deseret Protect. Each plan provides different levels of coverage and provider networks.
DMBA offers two dental plans: Deseret Dental and Deseret Dental Plus. Dental plans can be changed during the open enrollment period in October each year. If there are no changes made, your current plan will continue as it is.
Vision insurance is an additional benefit offered to full-time BYU-Idaho employees through DMBA medical insurance.
DMBA offers a hearing aid discount program through TruHearing, which includes special pricing, and a worry-free, personalized purchase.
DMBA’s Flexible Spending Account (FSA) allows BYU-Idaho employees to set aside funds for health expenses while reducing taxable income. Pay out of pocket expenses with tax-free income deducted from your salary.

BYU-Idaho offers many opportunities for our employees to grow. BYU-Idaho holds regular employee meetings, as well as industry conferences and training.
