Part-Time Employees Benefits

An overview of employee benefits for part-time BYU-Idaho employees includes personal and professional development, annual compensation increases, an exemplary work environment, and more.

Part-time staff and on-campus adjunct employees receive benefits only for themselves. Online adjunct faculty should review their benefit eligibility. Employees who have retired from part-time or adjunct employment are required to have completed 10 years of service prior to retirement.

I-Cards
As an employee, having an I-Card grants you access to the Hart facilities, McKay library, a discount at the University Store, and discounted tickets for on-campus events.

Parking
Employees are entitled to one transferable "A" permit (employee parking lots). "A" permits are valid in all lots. Parking passes can be obtained through University Security, Kimball 150.
Employment Opportunities
Job postings are posted online through the Employment page. It is the responsibility of the applicant to keep up-to-date on job openings and to ask to be considered for specific openings.

Training and Development
Human Resources offers various development opportunities to employees.
Discount Tickets
Employees are given a discount for events held on campus.

University Store
A 10% discount is given to employees for most purchases at the University Store (must show BYU-Idaho ID card).
Outdoor Equipment Rentals
Rent sleeping bags, tents, ski equipment, cooking gear, etc. Please call for availability.

Library Services
BYU-Idaho employees have access to the McKay Library; a BYU-I net ID and password are necessary to login. Library check-out privileges, database access, and Interlibrary loan services are available to the employee only.

University Catering
Available for office or personal use. Order by calling 208-496-2841, or online through the Catering Page.

Copy Center
Located in the Manwaring Center next to the university store. Provides services for black and white copies, color copies, lamination, binding, etc.
Planetarium
Presentations are given Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.; seating is limited. Located in the Romney building 107.

Thomas E. Ricks Gardens
Open to the public. Located south of the Kimball Building and the Taylor Building.

Activities and Events
Fine arts events, sporting events, or activities held on campus. Center Stage, Ticket Office, Activities. Activities Calendar: Online resource that provides details about a variety of campus activities and events.

Hart Access
Access to the Hart gym. P.E. equipment and lockers are available. Must wear BYU-I-approved exercise apparel. Facilities are free for employees and their dependents.

Devotional
Held in the I-Center at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. A live broadcast is also available on KBYI-FM 94.3 and 91.5. Transcripts and audio files of devotionals are also available online. Watch past devotional.
BYU-Idaho has dedicated spaces on campus available to accommodate nursing mothers.
