Employees
As you prepare to end your employment with BYU-Idaho, you are encouraged to visit with your supervisor so proper arrangements can be made within your department. After your departure date is entered, you will receive instructions in your email one week prior to your termination with any steps that you need to take.
You will be expected to do the following:

• Review the Ending Employment Checklist and follow the steps described in the document.
• Finalize the Ending Employment Checklist before your last day of work.
• Take the exiting employee survey that is part of the exiting process in Workday.

Supervisors
Once you receive notice from an employee intending to end their employment at BYU-Idaho, please begin the termination process in Workday. If you have any questions about terminating employees, review Terminating in Workday.

Please work with your employees to complete the tasks they are accountable for before departure. If an employee leaves the University without notifying you or HR, we will be contacting you directly to reconcile any issues regarding their exit process. If you have any questions, please contact the Human Resources Department at ext. 1700, Kimball 226.
Note
Upon leaving employment with BYU-Idaho, all non-student employees must go through the exit process. The intent of this process is to assist you and the University as you prepare to end employment. Completing the process will result in a smooth transition for you, your department, and the university administrative systems in which you have had access as an employee.
