Financial Aid Disbursement
If all required documents were submitted by the priority deadline, aid will generally be available in the student's account by the end of the first full week of school.
Please be aware that Pell Grants, Student Loans, Scholarships, and Tuition Waivers may not be disbursed simultaneously.
Charges Other Than Tuition and On-Campus Housing
To have your Pell Grant and Student Loans applied to charges appearing on your account in addition to Tuition and On-Campus Housing, you will need to authorize us to pay those charges. We are unable to pay any charges on a student's account other than Tuition and On-Campus Housing unless we have been authorized to do so. To complete the authorization you will need to follow the instructions on the Federal Aid Authorization site.
Methods for Receiving Unused Financial Aid Funds
The preferred method is eRefund (direct deposit). This provides the quickest and safest way to receive your funds. You must enroll in eRefund to receive funds electronically.
If a student does not enroll in eRefund, a check will automatically be mailed to the student's campus mailing address on record with BYU-IDAHO within 10-14 days after funds have been applied to the student's account.
*Note: Your unused funds may not have covered all of your unpaid balances. Please review your Personal Account Summary for details.
