What do I do if I submitted a FAFSA® form but I don’t see anything in my Financial Aid Portal?

It usually takes three to five days for your FAFSA® to be processed by the U.S. Department of Education and sent to BYU–Idaho. If you still do not see a satisfied FAFSA® document in your Financial Aid Portal after that time, check the following:

  • Make sure your Social Security Number and birthdate match exactly on both your FAFSA® and your BYU–Idaho student record.
  • If your information needs to be corrected with the university, use the Demographic Change page to update details such as your name, Social Security Number, or birthdate.
  • Confirm that you have matriculated and have a declared major. Your FAFSA® cannot be linked to your account until these steps are complete.
  • Make sure you completed the correct FAFSA® for the semester.

If your FAFSA® still does not appear, contact the Financial Aid Office by calling (208) 496-1411, emailing financialaid@byui.edu, or visiting them in person in Kimball 196.
