Financial Aid Determination Date (FADD)
Be aware of when your aid will be finalized for the semester.
What is FADD?
The Financial Aid Determination Date (FADD) is the date when BYU-Idaho checks your enrollment for aid eligibility. You will only receive aid for the eligible classes you are signed up for on FADD.
If you drop before FADD:
- Your scholarships and Pell Grant will be reduced or returned completely
- If you drop below 6 credits, you will lose loan eligibility and may have to start paying them back
- If you drop all your classes between the add/drop deadline and FADD, you may have to pay tuition still
If you drop after FADD:
- You will receive a “W” on your transcript
- Scholarships will not change
- Pell Grant will not change if you participated in the classes you dropped
- If you dropped all classes, you may have to pay some of the aid back
Important Reminder:
If you drop a class after FADD and receive a “W”, this can affect your Satisfactory Academic Progress and make you ineligible for aid in the future. Always check with Financial Aid before dropping a class!
