Usage Guidelines

Use Temporary Artwork
Societies may create custom artwork to support their promotional materials. Artwork may be used for up to one year and should not become a permanent society identity.
Do Not Create a Society Logo
Academic societies cannot create or use custom logos. Use temporary promotional artwork instead of developing a permanent mark or visual identity for the society.
Keep BYU-Idaho Separate From Society Artwork
Do not incorporate the BYU-Idaho name into custom society artwork. Society artwork should remain separate from the university’s official identity.
Promote Membership and Awareness
Use public-facing marketing to build awareness of your society and invite eligible students to join. Share society-specific activities, events, and announcements with members through myBYUI Groups.
Communicate Society Activities Through myBYUI Groups
Use myBYUI Groups to share society activities, events, guest speakers, announcements, and conversations with society members. Reserve public-facing marketing for general society awareness and membership recruitment.
Use Approved Marketing Channels
