Elder and Sister Millard both grew up in the Seattle Area. On the Sunday that Elder Millard reported home from his mission to Seoul Korea, Sister Millard happened to be in the Stake Center and decided to stay for the meeting. They both attended BYU in Provo and were later married in the Seattle Temple. They have four daughters, one son, and eight grandchildren.

Elder Millard earned a degree in Civil Engineering and later a Master of Business Administration. They have been awarded three Best in the Nation Awards for developments that they have developed and operated. In 2022 and 2023, the firm was a finalist for that award. Sister Millard is currently the Human Resources Manager for the firm. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom during their children’s growing years.
