Expeditions

Expeditions are networking opportunities for students to meet employers and contacts from companies in various cities in the United States.

BYU-Idaho Career Expeditions

Expeditions are trips organized by university departments intended to:

  • explore jobs and internships in various cities across the country,
  • provide an opportunity to network with potential employers,
  • meet contacts with companies in that city, and
  • find and meet local church members.

Because the expeditions use a considerable amount of university funding, it is expected that at least 30% of attending students will receive a job or internship offer.

Students are expected to:

  • pay 40% of the total cost;
    • this usually falls between $200-$500
    • the amount will be charged to your student account upon acceptance
  • pay for all other incidentals, including meals and entertainment; and
  • in the event of withdrawal after plane tickets are purchased, pay the full price of the ticket.

Below is a student-made video of an expedition.
