Exit Process

Employees

As you prepare to end your employment with BYU-Idaho, you are encouraged to visit with your supervisor so proper arrangements can be made within your department. Once your departure date is determined, you can notify Human Resources through the link found on this page.

You can expect to:

  • Receive an email from HR within two weeks of your last day of employment regarding a "List of Accountability" that you will need to finalize before your last day.
  • Review the instructions, your "List of Accountability", and the link to an exiting employee survey.

Supervisors

Once you receive notice from an employee intending to end their employment at BYU-Idaho, please click on the link below and submit the information requested.

Email exiting@byui.edu to notify human resources of an employee's intended departure.Please work with your employees to complete the tasks that they are accountable for prior to departure. If an employee leaves the University without notifying HR, we will be contacting you directly to reconcile any issues regarding their exit process.If you have any questions please contact the Human Resources Department ext. 1700, Kimball 226
