In an effort to make the BYU-Idaho application process easier, the university has removed its application fee. By eliminating this cost barrier, the university hopes more students will take the opportunity to apply to a university where they will develop as disciples of Jesus Christ, while gaining a high-quality college education that is student centered by design. This new benefit is now available to all future BYU-Idaho applicants that have not yet enrolled in BYU-Idaho classes.

REXBURG — Brigham Young University-Idaho is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Rammell as its new Dean of Students. He replaces Wynn Hill who served as the Dean of Students since 2019 before transitioning to a new role in the Counseling Center this year.

Brigham Young University-Idaho's Center Stage is pleased to announce the featured guest for this year’s “A BYU-Idaho Christmas.” Along with students in the College of Performing and Visual Arts, this year’s performance will feature Disney film star Adassa. Beginning in April 2024, BYU–Idaho and Ensign College, with the support of BYU–Pathway Worldwide, will offer 90–96 credit degrees that will allow students to complete an online bachelor’s degree in three years. The new degrees, approved by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), preserve all required major and general education courses while eliminating elective credits.

The Board of Trustees of Brigham Young University–Idaho (BYU–Idaho) has appointed Elder Alvin “Trip” F. Meredith III as the university’s 18th president. Elder Meredith will succeed Henry J. Eyring, who has served as president for the past six years.

Brigham Young University-Idaho Center Stage will host a musical performance by Utah-based band Molly in the Mineshaft on Friday, July 28, during the university’s annual conference, Education Week. The show will take place in the Hart Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

The Collegiate Singers and the Chamber Orchestra (Sinfonietta), two musical groups within Brigham Young University-Idaho’s Department of Music, will tour the American South April 7-15. The upcoming performances will take students to Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.

The live event will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center and streamed live at BYU-Idaho Live Video Stream.

The Brigham Young University-Idaho Department of Theater and Dance is excited to present its production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame in the Black Box Theater. This classic production will run from March 15–18, 21–25, and 28–31 at 7:30 p.m. on weekdays with an additional 2:00 p.m. show on Saturdays.

Stayin’ Alive: A Bee Gees Tribute will perform at BYU-Idaho on Friday, March 17. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.

On Friday, March 10, comedian Ryan Hamilton will perform at Brigham Young University-Idaho. The show will take place in the BYU-Idaho Center at 7:30 p.m.

The Brigham Young University-Idaho Department of Theatre and Dance will hold its first production of the 2023 Winter semester on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Snow Drama Theatre. The production, “As It Is in Heaven,” will run from February 15-18 and February 21-24. There will also be a matinee performance on February 25 at 2 p.m.
