Spring is in full bloom at BYU-Idaho as campus course enrollment for Spring Semester rises for the second straight year. The milestone comes even as deferments have increased following the Fall 2025 announcement that sisters can now serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 18.
Statistics released for the Spring 2026 Semester show a total matriculated enrollment of 17,326 campus-based students, which is a 1.6% increase over the Spring 2025 Semester. This number includes 12,724 campus-based students who are enrolled in face-to-face courses and 4,602 campus-based students who are enrolled in online courses and/or internships. The university estimates that approximately 14,800 students are living in Rexburg this semester.
This semester, the campus-based student body consists of 9,214 male students and 8,112 female students (53% percent and 47% percent respectively). Married students make up 24 percent of the total campus-based student population.
In addition, BYU-Idaho enrolls 23,717 online students who are serviced in partnership with BYU-Pathway Worldwide. This leads to a total of 41,043 total enrolled students in BYU-Idaho courses this semester.
BYU-Idaho continues to develop disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities by integrating its unique student and academic emphasis that includes: the teaching focus of its faculty, the opportunity to gather with other students who share common values, the university’s focus on real-world preparation, and a high-value educational experience.
