Brigham Young University–Idaho announces the 2026 “Strands of Light” tour by BYU–Idaho Sinfonietta, the university’s premier touring chamber orchestra. The ensemble will perform in Boise and Twin Falls, Idaho, in February 2026.

The Sinfonietta is directed by Dr. Dallin Hansen and features 21 outstanding student musicians performing on violin, viola, cello, string bass, and harp. Students are selected through a competitive audition process and represent the highest level of musical excellence at BYU–Idaho.

Under Dr. Hansen’s direction, the Sinfonietta performs challenging repertoire from the 17th through the 20th centuries. The ensemble is recognized for its artistic precision, expressive depth, and inspiring performances, which have captivated audiences throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
