Environmental, Health & Safety

Numerous safety, health, and environmental regulations apply to BYU-Idaho. These regulations range from workplace safety to building codes to drone operation. Legal requirements include identifying workplace hazards, training personnel, safeguarding against accidents, and appropriately managing waste. The two federal agencies primarily involved in environmental, health, and safety regulation are the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, but other agencies (including state agencies) have adopted regulations that also apply to day-to-day operations on campus.
