The Heritage Youth Symphony is looking for more people to join in its musical endeavors.

Daris Howard is a mathematics professor at BYU-Idaho. On the side, he enjoys studying the scriptures and writing about his studies. He has written 27 books, the latest of which is “Insights into the Scriptures: The Jaredites.” In an interview with BYU-Idaho, he talked about the writing and studying process and what he learned from his research.

Itavi Sterns and Mariah Parent are two BYU-Idaho students who helped to organize this year’s BYU-Idaho Fashion Show. This year’s theme is “Nordic Nights.” They sat down with BYU-Idaho Radio to talk about the fashion show, what people can expect and what went into making the event happen.

Presiding Bishop Gérald Caussé delivered the BYU-Idaho devotional on November 28, 2023. His talk, “I Saw Your Potential,” highlights how people can fulfill their divine potential and help others to discover their potential. Bishop Caussé is the 15th Presiding Bishop in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called as Presiding Bishop in October 2015. Before his call to serve as the Presiding Bishop, he served as a General Authority Seventy and a counselor in the Presiding Bishopric.

Author, Gail Grant Park, met with BYU-Idaho Radio to talk about her latest book, “We Are Shadows: An Irish Ghost Story.” She talks about the process of writing the novel and how her own experiences are woven throughout its pages.

BYU-Idaho student, Chloey Hall, has struggled with mental health challenges for her entire life. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Hall outlined what has helped her to combat these challenges and what those with similar struggles as well as those with family and friends with mental health challenges can do to help.

Reuben J. Appelman is an author with a focus on true crime. His latest book, “While Idaho Slept: The Hunt for Answers in the Murders of Four College Students,” dives into the murders of four University of Idaho students that took place in November of 2022. Tony Carpenter is the Creative Services manager at BYU-Idaho and today’s devotional speaker. He sat down with BYU-Idaho Radio to discuss the process of writing his talk as well as what he hopes people take away from his message. His talk is titled “Mortality is a Master Class.”

Paige Edwards is an award-winning Latter-day Saint author who specializes in romantic suspense. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, Edwards chatted about the latest installment in her Pressley-Coombes series, “Skye Fall.” She also discussed how she became an author as well as the research that goes into writing a book.
