Madison County has its State of the Cities and County addresses every year and for the second year in a row the breakfast will be held in the Taylor Building at BYU-Idaho. The breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m.

The mayors of Rexburg and Sugar City along with a Madison County Commissioner will talk about successes from the past year and what to anticipate in 2025. A leader from BYU-Idaho will also speak.

“Anybody is welcome to purchase tickets to the event every year. Anybody from the community can come. Oftentimes businesses from Rexburg and Sugar City and in the Madison area, they will buy tickets, they'll purchase a whole table for their company and different things,” said Amelia Lusk, with the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

According to Lusk, with more people participating, holding the breakfast at BYU-Idaho gives the Chamber more room.

“Our officials are always their doors are wide open. They're always welcoming conversations from the community. They're always welcoming feedback and different things. And so of course, they'll all be available for questions afterwards and willing to answer any questions, but their doors are always open to our community members. So, if there was a concern or a question that anybody wanted to follow up with, I'm sure that they could reach out to them that way,” Lusk said.
