Spanish Education (B.S.)

The Spanish Education program prepares students to become effective secondary-level Spanish teachers by combining advanced language proficiency with practical teaching skills. Students develop strong communication abilities, cultural understanding, and real classroom experience to prepare for certification and a career in education.

Spanish Education Introduction

As a Spanish Education major, you will combine advanced Spanish language study with professional training in teaching. Through a structured set of courses, you will build fluency in Spanish while learning how to design effective lessons, assess student learning, and support diverse classrooms.

Along the way, you will explore Hispanic cultures and literature and gain hands-on teaching experience in real classroom settings. This major prepares you to become a confident, skilled Spanish teacher at the secondary level.
