REXBURG — The Puzzle Pals, a rag-tag puzzling crew from eastern Idaho, have taken their passion for piecing things together and placed it on a competitive table.

The 6th Annual Greater Yellowstone Crane Festival is happening September 20-23. The event aims to raise awareness for Crane habitat as well as the habitats of other birds in the region. Mandy Crane, outreach and events coordinator with Teton Regional Land Trust, joined BYU-Idaho Radio to talk about the festivities.

Elder Juan Pablo Villar, of the Seventy, and his wife Sister Carola Villar spoke at the BYU-Idaho devotional on September 19, 2023. Sister Villar discussed the importance of setting goals and filling one’s life with things of eternal significance. Elder Villar talked about how disciples of Jesus Christ make things happen by taking action in education, leadership, and peacemaking.

REXBURG — Food trucks, business booths, and live music were just a fraction of what attendees enjoyed at Experience Rexburg, on Saturday.

A surprising number of married BYU-Idaho students opt to live in RVs to have more freedom and lower rent.

REXBURG — Each year, accounting firms and graduate programs converge on Brigham Young University-Idaho for what is known as Meet the Firms, where students in the Accounting Department at Brigham Young University-Idaho will soon gather to see what opportunities lay ahead for them. This year, those students will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers on September 28.

The year was 1969. Back then Rexburg was still known as home to Ricks College. From 1969 to now, so much has changed. The university is now called Brigham Young University-Idaho, it is a four-year institution rather than a two-year college. More recently, we even have a new president.

The annual Experience Rexburg event is on Saturday, giving BYU-I students and locals an opportunity to learn about local businesses and enjoy the spirit of Rexburg.

BYU-Idaho President Alvin F. Meredith III and his wife Sister Jennifer Meredith welcomed students to the new semester and invited them to come to devotional dressed in their Sunday best, to attend the temple regularly and to live the Honor Code and Dress and Grooming standards with honesty and integrity.
