Diane Bruce has become the newest president and CEO of the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce with years of experience behind her.

Diane Bruce is no stranger to Rexburg, partially growing up in the area. Her parents went to school in Rigby, her great grandfather served as a Madison County Commissioner and she attended Rigby Elementary School.

After Serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hartford, Connecticut, she went to cosmetology school and worked at a salon. She later went into beauty school education. She returned to Rexburg after spending time in Manhattan, Kansas.

Now, she’s the president and CEO of the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce and ready to connect with the community.

“This younger generation, they understand when you support local business, it's not just the business,” Bruce said.

Already behind the heels of her predecessor, Janalyn Holt, Bruce intends to keep Rexburg businesses flourishing. She also intends to reach out to the students in Rexburg of all kinds. Not just BYU-Idaho students but local students and those pursuing the trades.

“We want new businesses to come in. We want the businesses here to thrive and succeed. “We want to serve the students,” she said.
