Tina Sipp is the choir manager for the African Children’s Choir. In an interview with BYU-Idaho Radio, she talked about the history and mission of the choir, how the children partake in the American culture and what people can expect from the choir’s performance this weekend. The choir is coming to First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Melissa Inoyue is a historian for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the BYU-Idaho forum speaker for Oct. 19, 2023. Her address is titled, “Restoration versus Revolution: What China’s Cultural Revolution Can Teach Us in a Time of Civil Polarization.” She received her PhD from Harvard, has taught Chinese history and the history of global Christianity at universities in the United States, Hong Kong and New Zealand. She is also the author of several books and founded the Global Mormon Studies Research Network.

Paul Sheffield is a comedian based in Utah. He has preformed at several venues throughout Utah and Idaho, including the Dry Bar Comedy club. He has released five albums. Sheffield will perform on the LOL! Rexburg stage on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.

REXBURG --BYU-Idaho educates more than 20,000 on-campus students, and when it comes to housing the requirements aren’t the same for single and married students. About a quarter of the students on campus are married and can’t live in BYU-Idaho Approved housing. That means they can live among the local population. Single students however must live in housing that is set apart for BYU-Idaho students. But what about divorced and widowed students?

The BYU-Idaho theatre department has chosen to present their own rendition of the infamous story of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow this fall semester. Under direction of Rodger Merrill the play production seeks to wow and amaze audience members who are and are not familiar with the story of Ichabod Crane.
