Ballet Etude, a non-profit organization focused on the art of ballet, and a member of the Teton River Arts & Commerce, is holding a fundraising gala for its upcoming performances on Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Uptown Event Center.
This event is to raise funds for their upcoming performances and help give support to students and performers alike.
“We have a lot of families of students who really appreciate what we offer, and a lot of them who have the capabilities and the time to give have helped us with a lot of costuming and prop building, scenery, and so forth,” said Kiersten Lewis, the artistic director and leader of the non-profit. “So, a lot of those families frequent our events. They've come to just about everything as long as they're here and available to come.”
The theme of the event is focused on Valentine’s Day so the title of it is called, ‘For the Love of Ballet.’ They are serving free hors d'oeuvres for this event and there are raffles for the event as well.
“The raffle has two different baskets that you can buy a ticket for. We have the family pass basket and the date night basket. But you buy a ticket, the raffle tickets are $5 a piece or you can buy five of them for $20,” Lewis said.
