BYU-Idaho hosts its first Adaptive Sports Competition, put together by BYU-Idaho faculty member Tyler Dustin and BYU-Idaho student Makenna Taylor, promoting inclusivity in recreational activities. Featuring sports like wheelchair pickleball and goal ball, the event emphasizes teamwork and accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

Jordan Rodriguez is the owner of Tight Lines 208, a business which offers fishing classes and tips to anyone wanting to learn how to fish. Over the years Rodriguez has gathered a lot of knowledge about fishing and is using his expertise to educate others. 

BYU-Idaho’s Department of Theatre is excited for the opening of its upcoming play “Translations.” This will be the second winter semester play from the Theatre Department. The play is set in the 1830s when the British military arrived to survey the land in County Donegal, Ireland, to map and anglicize Irish place names. The Ireland natives who had their own language and schools were taken away from them, then forced to learn English by British soldiers.

BYU-Idaho student Amanda Thueson partners with The Center for Hope to organize a community conversation event on March 19, aiming to raise awareness about substance abuse struggles in Idaho Falls. Thueson's initiative brings together stakeholders from various sectors to foster dialogue, share resources and address the issue collectively, emphasizing the importance of community support in overcoming substance abuse challenges.

The Rexburg Tabernacle will host the Quilting Show from March 15 – 18.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities expanded to Eastern Idaho five years ago, with the 5th Annual Fundraising for Families event aiming to raise $70,000 to support families with ill or injured children at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Director Lori Priest emphasizes community engagement and sponsorship support, highlighting the event's goal of raising awareness about RMHC's mission while providing a "home away from home" for families in need.
