Chocolate Plunge, a new small business on Main St. In Rexburg, is now open and serving chocolate covered sweets and treats. After 10 years of preparation, Donna Waite, along with Ty Walker and Kevin Heebner, made Chocolate Plunge a place of gathering for the community.

Coming from The Lincoln Center all the way to Idaho Falls, jazz artists will play and sing your favorite tunes this Thursday.

BYU-Idaho's Music Department is ready to present its 25th annual Jazz Festival. Once a year the department hosts the annual Jazz Fest, inviting guest artists to come on campus, perform with BYU-Idaho’s premier big band and lead various clinics. Past guest artists include The Jeff Hamilton Trio, Ingrid Jensen, Bob Mintzer and Derrick and Vincent Gardner. This year’s guest performer will be Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana.

Aubrey Christensen Hale is a BYU-Idaho alumna. She says her attendance at the university helped her excel spiritually and academically due to being surrounded by people with similar values and her interactions with influential professors.

This week’s BYU-Idaho devotional this Sunday is at 5:00 p.m. as Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak in the BYU-Idaho Center. Sports fans may be conflicted however, as Elder Gong will speak during the Super Bowl.
