Rexburg has several beloved food trucks, and one of the local favorites is Crispy Cones. That chromatic oval under an old gas station canopy on N 2nd East. Jeremy Carlson started his business four years ago as a young college student with big aspirations. So far so good. Carlson has since seen great success from serving dessert to the people of Rexburg and is expanding the business.

While filming, the crew had many exciting, emotional and special moments together. We got an inside look at what that was like from an interview with Hailey Smith, producer and actress for the film.

From Maclain Nelsons “Once I was a Beehive” comes the romantic comedy “Once I was Engaged,” a new spinoff with returning characters. Moviegoers can expect a “rollercoaster of emotions” as they follow Bree Carrington, played by Nelson’s wife Clare Niederpuem, as she navigates her engagement.

The family-owned and operated Butterfly Haven in Pingree, Idaho, is home to more than 2,000 butterflies and is Idaho’s largest butterfly house. The Haven also holds 185 plant varieties, two waterfalls and six species of birds including button quail, firefinches and European spinners.

The Idaho Falls Zoo isn’t just a zoo. It’s also a place to enjoy hands-on learning with animal experts. The I.F. Zoo has events going on all summer long. Some of the upcoming events include a Hawaiian Luau, Sippin’ Safari, Senior Day, and Fluor Idaho’s Family STEAM Day.

The East Idaho Aquarium has grown a lot in the last few years, and now boasts more than 35 exhibits, with many more activities and new things to do. Executive director Aaron Faires says the East Idaho Aquarium has the largest shark tank in Idaho.

Bonneville County has had a new place to enjoy big public events since the new fairground's construction in 2017. The most impressive building by far is the new Melaleuca Building. The state-of-the-art building is unique in that it is a large indoor show room that has heating and air conditioning. That is not all the fairgrounds has to offer.

The Madison County Volunteer Medical Group is holding a free clinic in the area on Aug. 21-22. This once-in-a-year opportunity can help people get any medical treatment they need, done completely for free with no documentation necessary.
