Elder David A. Bednar, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will address 2,802 graduates at Brigham Young University-Idaho’s 2023 Spring Semester Commencement on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. The event will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center and streamed live at www.byui.edu/live/video.

Brigham Young University-Idaho invites everyone, young and old, to Education Week. This year, the conference will be held from Thursday, July 27 through Saturday, July 29.

When Natalie Gay took the lead over campus tours in 2017, she knew that something needed to change. At the time, tours began at the university’s Admissions Office. While typically spacious and orderly, the office became claustrophobic and exhausting when a group of 57 prospective students entered and only 12 could sit in chairs. The change Natalie envisioned is now embodied in Brigham Young University-Idaho’s Welcome Center, located in the Hyrum G. Manwaring Center (MC). Complete with an 80-person seating capacity, fireplace rooms, and a central campus location, visitors are greeted with warmth, comfort, and the Spirit as soon as they begin their touring experience.

On February 23, 2023, Brigham Young University-Idaho completed a test of its emergency communications network. From texts and emails to digital signage and campus phone notifications, efforts to reach every on-campus student and employee were made as a dry run of what would really happen in an emergency situation.

Country supergroup Lonestar will perform at Brigham Young University-Idaho on Thursday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.
