Adassa to Perform at “A BYU-Idaho Christmas”

ADASSA-2

Brigham Young University-Idaho's Center Stage is pleased to announce the featured guest for this year’s “A BYU-Idaho Christmas.” Along with students in the College of Performing and Visual Arts, this year’s performance will feature Disney film star Adassa. The performance will take place on Saturday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center.

Adassa gained a huge following after her performance as the voice of Dolores in Disney’s blockbuster hit Encanto. She is featured on the Billboard-chart-topping song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”

Adassa’s work ranges from animation, arena performances, commercials, and, most recently, as a soloist with the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra as part of their recent tour to Mexico City.

Center Stage Coordinator Dale Hillier shared how important this concert has become for people in Rexburg and beyond.

“A BYU-Idaho Christmas has become a regional tradition, with families traveling from all over Eastern Idaho to attend,” Hillier said.

The theme for this year’s performance is “All Around the World.” The concert will feature musical numbers and performances that represent a wide array of countries and cultures.

“This is not just a concert; it is a multi-sensory experience. There will be a full orchestra, multiple choirs, dancers, and a superb headliner. You will become completely immersed in this performance,” said Hillier.

Tickets start at $15 for the general public and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.byui.edu/ticket-office, by calling 208-496-3170, or at the Ticket Office in the University Store on the first floor of the Manwaring Center.
