Improving the Student Experience Through Targeted Feedback
The End of Course Survey is an official data collection tool that serves multiple purposes and stakeholders. In addition to gathering student feedback on courses and instructors, it is also used to:
- Measure progress on University goals and initiatives.
- Measure student engagement, success, and well-being.
- Give students the opportunity to share their perspective on their courses, campus programs, University services, and the school environment.
- Inform quality assurance efforts and accreditation requirements.
Please encourage your students to participate in the End of Course Survey. Some faculty do this by offering extra credit to students who complete it. If you would like to offer extra credit, please add the End of Course Survey to your course by following the instructions in the video below.
Students can access the End of Course Survey through several different methods. However, to receive credit (or extra credit) in your course, they must click the survey assignment link in your Canvas course section.
If a student has already completed the survey for your course using another access method, they do not need to complete it again. When they click the survey assignment link in your Canvas section, the system will recognize that they have already submitted the survey and will automatically award the appropriate credit.
