Academic Requirements for Admissions

BYU-Idaho seeks to help as many students as possible obtain a quality education.

Minimum GPA & ACT/SAT

Applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission; however, they are required for scholarship consideration. Applicants may also submit a test score if they feel it is a good representation of their academic abilities.

Average ACT score for admission to BYU-Idaho is 25.

Minimum GPA for admission to BYU-Idaho is 2.0; average GPA is 3.7; maximum GPA is 4.0 or more.

Average SAT score for admission to BYU-Idaho is 1,240.

Attend School Year-Round

BYU-Idaho operates on a full three-semester schedule (Fall, Winter, and Spring), helping students graduate faster while keeping class sizes small. Multiple start dates offer flexibility for scheduling around missions or internships.
