BYU-Idaho’s Dance Department is ready to host its Winter semester Dance Showcase. The Dance Showcase is an opportunity for the university’s talented dance majors to perform, learn and grow their choreography skills in a deep and meaningful way. Some of the dance genres incorporated in the show include ballet, jazz, contemporary, swing, hip-hop and more.

Elder Gerrit W. Gong, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, delivered a message at BYU-Idaho centered on navigating life's decisions through trust in the Lord and seeking spiritual guidance. He emphasized anchoring oneself in Jesus Christ and the scriptures, highlighting the significance of the lilies of the field as a symbol of God's care and provision for those who trust in Him.

Chocolate Plunge, a new small business on Main St. In Rexburg, is now open and serving chocolate covered sweets and treats. After 10 years of preparation, Donna Waite, along with Ty Walker and Kevin Heebner, made Chocolate Plunge a place of gathering for the community.

The Student Leadership Council at BYU-Idaho has Disciple Leadership Trainings that allow BYU-Idaho students to receive a Disciple Leader Certificate.

BYU-Idaho student Casey Cruz takes the lead in planning Rexburg's Independence Day celebration, emphasizing diversity and community involvement with the theme "America, the Beautiful." From a vibrant parade to a Party at the Park filled with music, food and local vendors, the event promises a memorable day of patriotic festivities, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display and recognition of a Grand Marshal.

Sydney Telford and Maria Timm, two BYU-Idaho students, decided to serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of their very similar experiences working at Redfish Lake Lodge.

BYU-Idaho's Music Department is ready to present its 25th annual Jazz Festival. Once a year the department hosts the annual Jazz Fest, inviting guest artists to come on campus, perform with BYU-Idaho’s premier big band and lead various clinics. Past guest artists include The Jeff Hamilton Trio, Ingrid Jensen, Bob Mintzer and Derrick and Vincent Gardner. This year’s guest performer will be Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana.
