There’s a new art exhibit opening this Saturday featuring the many works of Mary Lou Romney. Her son, Ben Romney, curated the event in hopes of showcasing her amazing work and taking visitors through her life’s journey.

Cindy Bezas is a renowned national speaker, business consultant, trainer, author and podcast host. She presented her BYU-Idaho forum session titled, “Connecting In College: The Hero’s Journey,” last Thursday at the Taylor Chapel. She discussed the power of words, resilience and the importance of networking and making authentic connections.

The Child and Family Advocacy Society works to protect children and families. With its events, the society members hope to make an impact on the lives of students and faculty members and teach them that family is something everyone can be passionate about.

A local family is receiving help from the community after a dirt bike accident put the husband on the mend. Michael Bailey broke his back and is in a 9-month recovery.

Malia White, the Fitness Activities student lead at BYU-Idaho, shares some of the current and upcoming fitness challenges and activities for students and faculty members to look forward to during spring semester.

The city of Rexburg is in the process of building a new airport on U.S. Highway 33. The site has been approved and is currently undergoing environmental studies and is in the beginning stages of a land swap with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

BYU-Idaho students are getting to know seniors in the community through a service activity called Adopt-A-Grandparent. The event happens every Sunday from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. where people are picked up at the nearest roundabout to the Manwaring Center and the BYU-Idaho Center.

This week’s BYU-Idaho devotional was given by Becky Roesler, a BYU-Idaho Music Department faculty member. In her talk, “See with Grace,” she addresses the importance of having compassion for oneself and others amidst life’s challenges, and also how individuals should step away from the idea of being “perfect.”

Filmmaker T.C. Christensen, best known for his work on “17 Miracles” and “The Fighting Preacher,” has recently released his newest film, “Escape from Germany.” The story follows Latter-day Saint missionaries who are trying to leave Germany during WWII before the country invades Poland. The movie is based on the real accounts and experiences of those missionaries.
