Dr. Elizabeth Nelson is the professor of oboe at Brigham Young University-Idaho. In this capacity, she teaches oboe and reed-making, as well as music theory and music history. Elizabeth has performed in orchestras throughout the Northeastern United States and Arizona. She completed her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music at Brigham Young University, a Performance Diploma at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts at Boston University. Her principal teachers include Dr. Geralyn Giovannetti, James Moore, and Mark McEwen.
