The BYU-Idaho Department of Music strives to help our students become better disciples of Jesus Christ by developing:

  • musical abilities of expression, empathy, communication, collaboration, and creation to use in service to their families, communities, and the world
  • the highest standards of artistry, professionalism, and excellence in their chosen careers and in their lives
  • skills, abilities, and habits as music scholars that will allow them to be effective lifelong learners

The Department offers a full palate of degrees including performance, music education, jazz studies, and liberal arts degrees for students pursuing a variety of career options.
