The PTA degree does not prepare the student for other Physical Therapy degrees.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program

Under the Physical Therapist's direction, Physical Therapist Assistants treat patients through exercise, balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
Applications are accepted until the Monday before Spring Semester graduation, to begin the program the following Fall Semester.

Graduation from a PTA program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education is necessary for eligibility to sit for the licensure exam. This examination is a requirement for licensure in all states.
