    Christmas Tree Lane

Christmas Tree Lane is returning to BYU-Idaho for its second consecutive year on campus. This longstanding tradition has existed for decades. The first citation of Christmas Tree Lane is listed in the book The Spirit of Ricks. It states that President Marion G. Romney visited campus and walked through Christmas Tree Lane on December 12, 1972.

    Guidelines

2024 Christmas Tree Lane Theme – Nostalgic Christmas Movies

This year’s Christmas Tree Lane theme is “Nostalgic Christmas Movies.” Tree decorations can center on classic Christmas movies such as It’s A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, or A Christmas Carol, as well as classic Christmas shows such as Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.

    • Choose a Christmas movie or show and bring it to life through your tree decorations.
    • Take into consideration the award categories listed at the bottom of this document when decorating.

    Registration

    To participate register online.

    • On the form be sure to specify: 1) tree height preference (9’ or 7’); 2) Christmas movie or show you are using to decorate your tree with; and 3) the number of employees and students in your office (this is to help us to know the quantity of treats to provide).
    • Organizations will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
    • Duplications of the same movie or show are not allowed. Contact Allen Jones for help with exceptions.

    • Department table/booth and/or marketing and promotion materials are prohibited.
