2023 Campus Asphalt Replacement
The university will demo and rebuild the Taylor/Benson parking lot. This will include new lighting and asphalt. Work will begin Summer Session 2023.
2023 Campus Concrete Replacement
Due to the increased deterioration of concrete, the University will be replacing concrete in several areas across campus during Spring, Summer Session and Fall Semester.
Hart Physical Treatment Remodel
A remodel of the existing sports physical treatment area is now under construction and will be open Fall Semester.
2023 Roofing Replacement
Portions of the roof on the McKay, Manwaring Center, Hart, Benson, Austin, and the Agriculture Science Center arena building will be replaced this year. Also, new fascia will be added to the Benson building, and rain gutter repairs will take place at the Spori building.
2023 Romney Basement and Exterior Remodel
The university will be remodeling the basement of the Romney building to provide a new photo lab area, multi-use classroom, Physics labs, and offices. A new Bio-Chem lab will be constructed on the second floor, and exterior upgrades will take place on the exterior of the building. This work will begin July of 2023 and will be completed by Winter semester, 2024.
Benson Headhouse Remodel
The Headhouse roof next to the Benson Greenhouses will be reroofed beginning July 2023 and will be complete by Fall Semester.
Taylor Chapel Remodel
The Taylor Chapel will be remodeled to add a new accessible ADA ramp, new pews, and an updated rostrum. This work will take place during Summer session 2023.
Benson Building Remodels
The Benson building is undergoing renovation in several areas. These areas will be phased and are scheduled to be completed by Winter semester 2024.
Ricks Temperature Controls
The HVAC system will undergo an upgrade this Summer session 2023.
Elevators
Elevators in the Snow, Smith, Austin, and Taylor buildings will be upgraded during Summer Session and Fall Semester 2023. These elevators will be offline during this work.
Stadium Drainage
Earthwork will take place under the stadium to add a new drainage system to the area. This work will begin in August 2023.
Sprinkler Replacement
Irrigation sprinklers will be replaced around the Hinckley building and parking lot as well as in the Spori quad.
2023 Tennis Court Replacement
The tennis courts off of 1st West will be replaced with a new playing surface and fencing and will be painted to accommodate both Pickleball and Tennis. Construction will begin July 2023.
MC Little Theater and Faculty Development Remodel
Portions of the third floor of the Manwaring Center will be remodeled to accommodate the moving of Faculty Development out of the McKay Library and into the MC. The Little Theater stage will also be remodeled for the relocation of the Photography studio from the McKay and to provide better ADA access on and behind the stage. Construction will begin mid-August and will complete by Winter semester 2024.
