2025 Capitol Projects

2024 David O. McKay Library Remodel

The Board of Directors approved a major remodel of the David O. McKay Library. The remodel will be a multi-year project that will be divided into two phases.

Employees and materials are being moved starting June 2024 to prepare for the remodel. Contractors will begin in August 2024. Anticipated completion of the first phase is 2026.

New University Support Services Building

A new facility will be built to house University Support Resources, including a warehouse, loading/receiving docks, and some of the grounds facilities and offices.

The new facility will be located near the substation on University Blvd. Construction is anticipated to begin in Winter Semester 2025.

The previous Auxiliary Services Building was converted to the Engineering Technology Center for academic use, and the current building’s lease is set to expire in 2026.
