Transcripts may not be ordered by phone or e-mail. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires BYU-Idaho to obtain a signed and dated written release before issuing any transcript. To order your own official transcript, visit the Student Records and Registration Office (190 Kimball) and present a picture ID or follow the directions below to request official transcripts online, by fax, or by mail.
Unofficial transcripts can be viewed and Printed Online individually by the student. NOTE: Past due debts will cause a financial hold to be placed on student records which will block both official and unofficial transcripts from being printed. Therefore, all financial holds must be cleared before transcript requests can be processed. For information on how to clear financial holds, go to the Cashier's Office (130 Kimball) or call the Accounting Office at (208) 496-1900.
Current and former students who attended Ricks College or BYU—Idaho after 1983 may complete an online request to have a transcript sent to themselves or to a third party. To order transcripts online, you must log in using your Username and Password. (If you have forgotten your Username or Password or if you do not have one, you can create one by going to the log-in page and selecting Forgot Password or Create Username.) After logging in, click the blue Student or Former Student tab, select Transcript Request from the gray task bar on the left, fill out requested information, then click submit
GED tests were formerly administered at BYU-Idaho/Ricks College and records were kept onsite. GED transcripts are no longer retained at BYU-Idaho rather they are held at the state level. Students who have taken the test at BYU-Idaho/Ricks College and who are looking for their GED transcript should go to http://www.pte.idaho.gov/ged/home.html to request those records by using the GED Transcript Request Form.
